I found this to be very readable typeset. The Words of Jesus are in soft red color; off white paper, soft black regular print; two-column with references in center and study notes at the bottom. Word Wealth (sword symbol) and Kingdom Dynamics (dove symbol) within Scripture have a pale grey background behind print to set them apart from the Bible text.

Matthew 5
8 aBlessed are the pure in heart,
For bthey shall see God.

reference in center:
aPs. 15:2, 24:4 b1 Cor. 13:12

WORD WEALTH [sword symbol] 5:8 pure, katharos (kath-ar-oss); Strong's #2513: Without blemish, clean, undefiled, pure. The word describes physical cleanliness (Matt. 23:26; 27:59); ceremonial purity (Luke 11:41; Rom. 14:20); and ethical purity (John 13:10; Acts 18:6). Sin pollutes and defiles, but the blood of Jesus washes the stains away.

Believers Are Salt and Light
13-16 (has a 3 in a circle at the margin by vs 13)
14 a"You are the light of the *world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
a[Prov. 4:18; John 8:12]; Phil. 2:15 *See WW at John 18:36.

study note:
5:13-16 See Section 3 of Truth-in-Action through the Synoptics at the end of Luke.

Truth-in-Action through the Synoptics
Letting the Life of the Holy Spirit Bring Faith's Works Alive in You!
EDITORIAL NOTE: Scholars refer to Matthew, Mark, and Luke as the synoptic gospels because they are parallel accounts of the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. To offer maximum insight into a faithful application of the teaching of Jesus recounted in the synoptic Gospels and to avoid unnecessary repetition, we are presenting this summary of the first three Gospels. In this chart, each "Action" will reference, as appropriate, from one to three of the Synoptics.

study note:
5:13-16 The Beatitudes describe the essential character of kingdom citizens, and the metaphors of salt and light indicate the citizens' influence for good as they penetrate secular society.
